Asia Pacific Arts currently accepts submissions of original content for publication. Submissions should be about Asian or Asian American arts and entertainment, including but not exclusive to film, television, literature, visual arts, theater, fashion and cultural events.

Fall 2007 Internship Opportunities
Interested in arts and entertainment? Enjoy meeting artists, musicians, filmmakers, and authors? Asia Pacific Arts offers internship opportunities for students and recent graduates in the Los Angeles area. Interns gain real-world journalism experience. APA alumni are now working with Dreamworks, the World Bank, Shanghai's Dragon TV, Fox, Hollywood public relations firms and local newspapers.
Applicants should have basic writing and interviewing skills, and a passion for the intellectual discussion of Asian and Asian American arts and entertainment. Duration of internships are negotiable, with a three-month minimum. We ask for ten to fifteen hours of work per week and accept applications year-round. Internships are unpaid.
Asia Pacific Arts is currently recruiting new interns in several areas:
Editorial
Develop story ideas and conduct research
Write articles, profiles, and reviews
Interview artists, filmmakers, writers, and scholars
Multimedia
Assist with various stages of multimedaia/video production
Gain experience editing, producing, shooting, and setting up video interviews
Take photographs and edit photos for the web
Web Design
Design and maintain website
Work with editorial team to see ideas through, from start to finish
Publicity and Development
Locate and pursue contacts
Develop and distribute marketing materials
Manage production logistics
Multimedia, Web Design, and Publicity and Development positions include work on both Asia Pacific Arts and its sister publication AsiaMedia.
