The
Asia Pacific Media Network (APMN) presents ASIA PACIFIC
ARTS (APA), the only West Coast online magazine devoted
entirely to the arts, entertainment, and culture of
the Asia-Pacific region.
The
bi-weekly online magazine has been developed to provide
media professionals, government public-officials, professors,
students, and anyone interested in the Asia Pacific
arts and entertainment with a reliable and exciting
forum in which to gain insight on the regions
entertainment culture.
With
the increasing globalization of the worlds entertainment
market this new magazine is sure to carve out a well
needed niche in the media focusing on Asia Pacific arts
and entertainment.
ASIA
PACIFIC ARTS will include stories covering top arts
and entertainment stories in the Asia Pacific and focus
on film, theater, music, and books of prominent news
value.
APA
will also include a Digital Issues Platform interview
in every issue. The Platform will feature streaming
video interviews with prominent stars and artists in
the Asian American community.
The
Asia Pacific Media Network is a non-profit educational
news media institution founded at UCLA by Professor
and Los Angeles Times syndicated columnist, Thomas Plate.
APMN
also currently publishes ASIAMEDIA, www.asiamedia.ucla.edu,
the only Web page to focus solely on news about the
media of the Asia Pacific.
APMN
has enjoyed formal accreditation from the White House
Press Office, the World Economic Forum (Davos), and
the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Organization as
a news institution. It is a regional alliance of the
leading media institutions of the region, from Seattle
to Seoul.
